A beautiful scenic tour along the Western Coastal road of Taveuni. Visit the chiefly village of Somosomo, which offers a small selection of shops and local businesses. Then on to Waiyevo, the Government centre of Taveuni. Here you will find the world famous marker for the 180 Meridian Dateline. Visit the 1907 stone church at Wairiki. To finish your tour off, we have saved the best part till the last, the Waitavala waterslides (approx. 3 hours)

An adventurous half day tour to Bouma National Heritage Park. The tour includes great views over the coast and outer islands, some of the best rainforest in Fiji with lots of birds and other wildlife. Tales of the traditional use of forest plants and a swim at the first and the second Bouma Waterfalls are making this a very delightful trip (approx. 3 - 4 hours); including entrance fee at Bouma National Heritage Park.

FULL DAY LAVENA COASTAL WALK   -   FJD 98.00 p.p.
This is a delightful outing that takes in Lavena's wild and scenic coastline and the lower "Wainibau" waterfalls. It is a relatively easy walk almost all the way with stunning waterfalls at the end. The full trek is a three to four hour hike to and from Lavena Village (approx. 6 - 7 hours); including entrance fee at Bouma National Heritage Park.

FULL DAY LAVENA COAST & WATERFALLS BY BOAT   -   FJD 120.00 p.p.
This is another very delightful outing that takes in Lavena's scenic coastline and waterfalls, less challenging than the Lavena Coastal Walk but relaxing while you still will experience adventures. Get onto a boat and float along the Lavena Coast, visit the "three-story" "Wainivakaca" waterfalls before you get dropped off close to the lower "Wainibau" waterfalls. It's up to you if you are taking back a boat ride or do the "one-way" Lavena Coastal Walk ( 1 ½ - 2 hours walk); including entrance fee at Bouma National Heritage Park.

HALF DAY DES VEOUX PEAK TOUR   -   FJD 98.00 p.p.
Take a hike to the top range of the legendary Mt. Uluiqalau, rising 1,196 metres above sea level is Des Veoux Peak. It offers panoramic views, virgin rainforest and exquisite and abundant birdlife. Here is where you will find Fiji's national flower- the sacred and beautiful Tagimocia - it grows nowhere else in Fiji or the world (approx. 6 hours); including permission fees.

Hard-core eco adventure tour, definitely not for the faint hearted ones. Hike up to Lake Tagimaucia through deep & dense jungle, have a bath in the biggest but youngest crater lake in the South Pacific. Take in the views and totally untouched rainforest. In 11 years only 26 of our guests made this tour (approx. 12 hours). Are you ready for the dance on the volcano?

AFTERNOON QELENI VILLAGE AND HANDICRAFT TOUR   -  FJD 50.00 p.p.
Traditional Fijian culture can be experienced at Qeleni. It is an eco tourism project in the Highlands that offers cultural handicrafts for sale. Mingle with the local villagers and visit a local village school and a traditional Fijian Meke might be performed (approx. 3 hours).

SUNSET CRUISE   -   FJD 28.00 p.p.
Join Jale & Setoki on a leisurely cruise off Matei Point and along the West Coast and view the spectacular sunset from our outboard fibre open boat. Get as close to nature, with an occasional sighting of dolphins and be serenaded to local tunes and songs. This trip is weather permitting and may be put up on short notice.

HANDLINE FISHING   -  FJD 30.00 p.p./per hour
Experience the feel of ground fishing either directly off shore from the Resort or out in the reef. You often even get to pick out the fish you want to catch and enjoy the tug of handline fishing. You will need to use a lot of sun protection; minimum of 2 hours.

BIRD WATCHING EXPERIENCE   -  FJD 98.00 p.p.
Take a 4-wheel drive to the base of Des Veoux Peak and make a short hike into the Rainforest where abundance of birdlife and nature is just waiting to be discovered. Recommended good walking gear and need to depart very early at 5.00am (approx. 3- 4 hours).

HONEYMOON ISLAND OUTING   -  FJD 40.00 p.p.
Be dropped off on a secluded uninhabited small island and enjoy beautiful snorkelling and perhaps a picnic lunch (approx. 3 hours).

Be guided to the best snorkeling spots on Taveuni to view abundant and colourful corals and a myriad of tropical fish; minimum of 2 hours.

Take a 35 minute boat trip to beautiful Korolevu Island and experience the best in snorkelling close to the famous Somosomo Straits. Lots of live scenic coral and marine life (approx. 4 hours).

CULTURAL EXPERIENCES ON QAMEA ISLAND   -  FJD 120.00 p.p
A full day in Watusoqosoqo village; experience traditional Fijian agriculture, village life and food. Visit the gardens of this very scenic village on Qamea Island; you will experience how a typical Fijian family prepares lunch, help if you want! Enjoy typical Fijian food and sweets while you have time to chat with the villagers. Walk the village and see handicrafts made by the women. Also visit the local church and the nearby school. A true Eco-/Geo-tour, introduced by Maravu's owner Jochen Kiess. A part of the tour price goes to the village to support ongoing projects or schoolchildren's needs.

FULL DAY YANUCA ISLAND BY BOAT   -  FJD 150.00 p.p
A beach BBQ with your own cook to serve you lunch on beautiful Yanuca Island. Abundance of sandy beaches and endless beautiful coral and marine life all to take in for a full day outing. Join your guide for a sing along and you might see turtles and dolphins. This trip is best taken if the weather is sunny and the sea is calm, and you will need good sun protection as it is an open boat (approx. 6 hours).

A Catholic Church built in 1907 out of stone with stained glass windows. Mass is Fijian style - on the floor!
